Good fun holiday golf course, not long but enough to keep you occupied. With courses like this it's the quirky holes you remember - 2nd - over the road; 5th - as tough a par 3 as you will ever play; 7th - dogleg requiring carry of about 200yds off the tee to give a view of green; 8th - hitting over the memorial; 9th - don't slice your 2nd shot! Only grumble would be the lack of a 9 hole ticket. I was passing through and only wanted a quick warm up for an open the next day and £18 was too steep to play just 9 holes.

Nice little course great fun. Don't expect to much but you will enjoy it.

I agree with everything said about the course. Enjoyed it thoroughly (including the novelty of using a War Memorial obelisk as a direction marker/obstacle). The green keeper may know about keeping greens, but he knows nothing about golf etiquette or manners generally. If he follows you round revving his tractor and otherwise obstructing your play, please report him. He was so accomplished at it, that I can't believe that it was not intentional and practiced.

Abernethy (nethybridge) - A Real Nice 9-hole Course. Rolling Terrain, Soft Fairways And Lots Of Slope On The Greens. Not Particularly Difficult But Easy To Get In Trouble And To Lose Strokes Around The Greens. Good Condition. Friendly Natives. Good Home Cooking In The Clubhouse.
