Went to Ampfield for the first time today. On arrival staff members inside and outside the clubhouse were very friendly and helpful! The course itself although suffering from the great British weather was good, challenging, had to make a couple of bunker shots to save myself! The main issue with this course is the attitude of the members, due to using winter tees I did not see a sign that asked for the teeing off to wait until the players on the next hole had tee'd off. When I hit my tee shot I received verbal abuse from a couple of elderly club members rather than just pointing out I had made a mistake which is didn't realise at first. And the second issue is the slow play... I have never experienced anything like it....took almost 3 hours to get round due to waiting for people in front and they were only playing in pairs. Maybe I went at a bad time. I will try once more as i enjoyed the course but with no change I wont be visiting for a third time.

We found this course 2 1/2 years ago, and always play 1 or 2 times every month. It really has it all. Holes vary between 194 yards (Hole 5) to 79 yards(Hole 13). Don't be fooled into thinking it is an easy course.

I found this little gem while working in the area. I threw my clubs in the car and headed down on my day off. I was greeted my very friendly staff who informed me how the course was playing. What a great start!! The layout and design is very challenging and the abundance of trees mean you have to be very accurate. The greens were superb and i would recomend it too all golfers. The final three hole are my favs.

This is an absolutely fantastic little course which golfers of all ages will find extremely enjoyable. Do'nt be fooled by the fact that it's a par three course. Many of the holes are challenging by design and or length. This really is not as easy as you may think. The real appeal of this club is the friendliness of everyone at the club abd the beauty of the course. We found it great for improving your our short game whilst having a really nice day out too. A must-visit course for anyone in Hampshire and afar. You really would be doing yourself an injustice if you miss the little gem!!

The price has now been increased to £ 11 per round. A Beautiful par three course with immaculate greens. Quite challenging, especially the 17th which has a large tree in the fairway and 5 bunkers around the green.
