I joined this course last year when I first got the golfing bug. It was close to where I live and the fees were reasonable. The course is a parkland course and undulating would be an understatment, it is hilly and the last nine your legs know all about it. For the opening 5 holes if you have a bad slice you are in trouble as for everyone of them is out of bounds if you err too for to the right. The 6-9 are reasonably flat and the 7th is probably your best chance to make a birdie on the first nine. If you have had enough after the first nine then its straight on to the 18th then in for a pint or a tea. If you play the final nine then you are in for a good workout on your legs. I would have to say that the last 9 would be the harder section of the course due to fatigue and the terrain. The greens are kept very well and the course is in great condition overall. There is a problem with the drainage on the course and I played it in Feb 2011 and I only managed for first 9 as it was like a bog on the majority of holes. Wading through mud to get to the tees was a little dissapointing on my last visit. Overall it is a lovely course with a good degree of difficulty for the worse than average golfer(28 handicap on a good day) that I would happily play again, but look out for the unintentional water features.
