2 reviews of Ballachulish House Golf Course
This course is in a good setting and has some interesting holes with decent greens. However, when I visited the course was full of youngsters hacking the ball 10 yards at a time. It also has some cross-over holes that could be dangerous. At £19 for 18 holes I felt it was a bit pricey compared with the other courses I played in Scotland.
Best pay & play 9 holer I've played. 3 rounds, 27 holes of awesome golf (not to mention the views) for £15 (day ticket), and top it all I was under the 34 par on all 3 rounds. The course was in great shape the day I played. The friendly staff just made the day more enjoyable. Although I do have 1 minor complaint. The 8th, or more to the point the bunker (which guards the only real approach to the green). I understand the need to guard the green but not to the extent that after 2 good shots to reach the corner, players are left facing a pot bunker that runs the full length of the front edge of the green. Although I was rewarded for taking the shot on, (3 birdies), less agressive golfers (or especially the day trippers that were there the day I was) are punished heavily.
