I played on 25 June, a rare calm day. I thought the fee of £10 for 9 holes was a little high. £15 for 18 holes is more reasonable and you can also play using the Anglesey Golf Pass. The course is on the short side but has plenty of gorse and some streams. 3 of the par 4's measure 400 yards or more with the 3rd which is sharply uphill requiring two very good blows. 6 is a very sharp dogleg where choosing the line and club off the tee is a challenge. 7 could do with a direction post. The greens were fairly good but the course was wetter than I expected bearing in mind its elevated position above Beaumaris. Visitors not using the Golf Pass must pay in cash. Worth a try particularly with the AGP.
Played Baron Hill today, bloody brilliant!! Greens are amongst the best in area surely. Really quick and very true- not bad for middle of March! Already off summer tees too, what a bonus! Fairways had just been cut by the looks of things and are a joy to play off. As for the course itself, well a true test for any Golfer, good mix of long and short. Par 3`s here are excellent, the 5th is to a slightly elevated green that is awkward to hit and the 8th is surely their signature hole with a ditch and bunkers surrounding the green-lovely. I highly recommend this course, especially for it`s outstanding condition.
