Battle Golf Club

Only just starting playing golf but have played several golf courses over the last three months here and in Spain most have been enjoyable But Battle Golf Club was really taking the mickey . It really was a dreadfull place, fairways uncut and really can only be descibed as "Rough"on any other course and all the Greens were unplayable,my back lawns were in better shape, absolutly a terrible experience.It can only be described as a field for every sngle hole even the tees were uncared for. Will never recommend to any one even the attitude of the only Staff member there was "So what" which really does sum up the establishment . If I could remove all teh star rateings I would they deserve zero.Such a shame.

Played this course a few weeks back and wish I hadn't. Simply the worst course I have ever played. Grass on the tees was so long that I risked losing my tee and it was like playing out of rough, and my back lawn is in a better condition than the greens - no point looking at a putt, it was simply hit and hope. All this for the not-so cheap price of £23 - would have complained when I had finished, only the clubhouse was all locked up!

Played this 9 hole course today. Wish we had saved the £13 Green Fee. It was terrible. Fairways uncut. Greens full of weeds, Rough with cut grass laying to dry. Pretty location is all it had going for it which is a pity because it could be a gem? At this rate I would doubt its chances of survival?

The course is interesting but i found the up keep especially of the greens was poor. The course was okay but the poor state of repair did make the day less enjoyable.

I played the Course on a fantastic summer's evening in June views across Sussex are stunning. The course is well designed with a number of dogleg holes to protect the short length of the course. Unfortunately the greens were probably in the worst condition I've experienced. Come on Battle you have decent course look after the greens..

Our party of 6 recently played battle and found the course in excellent condition and very challenging. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be visiting again very soon.
