We played Bellingham on a nice mid April day in 2010 and I have some really good memories of this very picturesque course. We were given a warm welcome upon arrival and for £15 a round which included a bacon sandwich and a hot drink to say it is value for money is an understatement!! Before teeing off we hit a few balls on the quante little driving range then headed to the 1st tee. The 1st hole is a straight forward par 4 and is a good chance for par or better if you get a good drive away. To be fair to the course, it has taken a lot of rain over the past several weeks and it showed in the greens with most of them being very slow to putt on. There are several holes of interest including the 4th, 7th on the front nine but I thought the back nine was really nice with not one boring hole on it. I particularly liked the 14th and 18th (which is a very unique type of hole). All in all it was a really enjoyable day out and a course I would love to play on a barmy summers day and for £15 each its a steal! As my playing partner commented, if it was 20 miles nearer to Newcastle upon Tyne the course would be rammed all the time. Overall rating - 7 out of 10

I played here in August 04, and so my comments should bear in mind the high rainfall levels we had experienced, but the rough was extremely unforgiving and the fairways rather ill-defined in part. I would love to go back when the weather has been kinder. It's a somewhat american style course now (I remember it as a 9 holer)and therefore not necessarily to my taste but the greens, it is fair to say, were in apple-pie order. Clubhouse staff friendly and accomodating, well worth the visitor fee. We played 36 and it's quite a decent walk!!

Played this course 5/09/03. had a great day. Friendly staff in clubhouse made us feel welcome which always makes for a better round. The course was in excellent condition and there are many challenging holes. A great course well worth a visit.

Played here end of April on our way to Scottish Borders. Very nice course, was a bit murky and damp but thoroughly enjoyed the course. Very knowledgable staff nice friendly atmosphere in clubhouse. Some lovely par 3's and testing 4's, did par 1 or 2 holes which was quite good given the weather. Can be a bit of a hike in the car but well worth a visit, would be packed out all of the time if 10 miles closer to Newcastle area.
