The day started really nicely with a very warm welcome from the Pro Graham and from members in the car park when they realised it was our first visit and it just got better. I have to say that playing Blankney was a real pleasure. The course was really interesting and varied in lovely surroundings. The greens were fabulous, especially bearing in mind it was mid-February and it had rained heavily overnight. Lots of interesting borrows, but not impossible to read. A spacious course with plenty of room between each hole. My playing partner and I are itching to return in summer. My thanks to all at Blankney who made it a really enjoyable day.
An excellent parkland course in really good condition for November. Well manicured tees and greens although the winter greens were in preperation although not yet in use. A very warm welcome in the pro shop from Graham Bradley, and in the clubhouse the "Winter Warmer" special was great value. One course I would recommend without hesitation.
My wife and I played this course yesterday 7/8/05 in a mixed Greensome Open. Lovely course in great condition, slick greens and a real test. Very friendly in the Clubhouse, and terrific meal afterwards. A good day out and we'll be back next year.
An excellent test of golf. Blankney will give all aspects of your game a full and thorough examination. 36 Stableford points - for honestly handicapped golfers! - is a real achievement. Certainly one of the finest and toughest courses in Lincolnshire, and real value for money.
