Played this course on a society day in September 06. Course had just been top dressed so the greens are a bit difficult to comment on, however they rolled well and are likely to be good under normal conditions. A flat parkland course with plenty of trees, lots of dog-legs and not a course you need your driver for on many occasions. Worthwhile buying a stroke saver as there are a number of ditches which can catch you out. Nice clubhouse with good facilities and the food was excellent with friendly and quick service.Would play again.
The course has improved over the past six months - the fairways are now tighter with rough cut into them and the greens are playing well. Normally pretty windy as close to the sea. You will be offered a warm welcome. Back nine are the more difficult, with ditches and trees to watch out for.
Bognor is a great course. I played in a sussex junior event and it difficult under pressure. The greens are awesome this time of year. The fairways are very generous and the trees catch a wayward tee shot. Although the rough was not very thick it still offered a tough recovery around the trees.
An excellent course, played in the Summer of 1999. First couple of greens were disappointing but after that they improved and were consistent. Despite this being an old club the course layout reminded me of some Florida courses without the excessive water hazards! Worth a visit.
