We played this course on the back end of March 2012 during the "freak" 4 day summerlike week. The front 9 is built on the side of a very steep hill. Compensating is not recommended as you'll likely lose your ball among the heather and gorse. Energy drink, flapjacks and bananas highly recommended. The back 9 although flat is also challenging and more pleasant to play. Greens were superfast and fairways well manicured. I cannot fault this course but I cannot say I enjoyed my round here. It's just gruelling, I hate to imagine if I'm a member here. We tend to like to play 2 rounds in every new course that we visit to better the first round performance but we just didn't have the energy and interest to do another round again on the same day or for any day in future. I cannot fault the greens and fairway conditions. Both our golf balls survived the all the 18 holes, we scored decently but we both agreed that we'll definitely not be coming back. The pro is very helpful. His shop is well stocked, very reasonably priced and the locals nice and friendly too.
visited in August 2009, well presented and interesting course on the side of a sttep hill which makes the course quite challenging from the golf and the stamina perspective. I have visited a number of times and generally it is quiet and the club house not fully active...but that meant a pleasant day on the course
