Joined the course in May and I have been really pleased. Extremely friendly members and although not long very tricky. Trees and bunkers placed in all the correct places. A really good round of golf.
Played this course recently. Clubhouse and range are excellent. Apparently £2m has been spent on the range and it shows (automatic ball dispensers, proper greens to aim at etc). However, the course itself is a let down. The layout is nice, gently undulating and a good mix of tough driving holes and some where you can let rip. The Par 3's are interesting aswell. But the overall condition is like a bad municipal. The tees were mostly made of moss, and the fairways were long and a bit patchy, with lots of divots. The greens were not good either. One putt bobbled six inches high and came to an abrupt halt!! Not good for your sanity. Hopefully they will spend the money they make from the fantastic driving range on improving the course because this is what puts me off from going back.
Played here today, the club house / bar and pro shop are excellent, great facilities with friendly staff. The course is very dry at the moment with some of the front 9 greens in poor condition(back 9 seemed to be a lot better), this aside, the course is laid out very well and presents a challenging round of golf with plenty of bunkers. There are some tight fairway holes but conversley some where you can let the driver rip. Greens are very undulating and tricky to read. Very enjoyable round of golf.
just played this course and apart from being held up by 2 late aged women from the 2nd tee to the 9th i thought the course was in good condition.I do think that the members do need to understand etiquette when 2 people are shooting 8 on each hole,2and a half hrs to do 9holes i class this as slow play.If you are going make sure you ask first if there are women in front
Excellent contoured greens, and undulating tight fairways make this a challenging course. It's quite a short course though, with only one par 5 (the 18th) and a par of 68. Unfortunately, our round was marred by the rudeness of the starter and various marshals, and we left feeling distinctly unwelcome.
A great little, flattering, course in good condition that you can usually get on at quite short notice. Quite short but plays longer than the yardage on many holes because of the undulating nature of the fairways. Last couple of visits have been spoilt by the surly nature of the guy taking my green fees.
This course is in great condition, is very tidy and an excellant challenge. A great mixture of holes where you think a birdie is possible and holes where you think "they must be joking". Coming to the 18th ( a short par 5 ), you always think a birdie is possible meaning you can cap off a great round or go into the 19th with a nice finish to a nightmare round. The clubhouse is excellant and provides a great range of food with the mandatory pre-game cholesterol and lard-loaded breakfast sarnie included. A great golf shop and large driving range makes this club an excellant golf facility. Everybody seems friendly once you get to understand what they are saying, i have enjoyed every round i have played there.
