lovely course, excellent condition, played there july 04. although the fairways are generous teeshots that land out of position will often find access to the greens disturbed by trees. the last two holes are quite easy so that you can leave the course with some kind of remedy if your game has let you down that day

Grew up playing this, one of the best parkland courses in Ireland, and a return visit is always a highlight of any stay. Highlights include the long par-4 opening hole, the steeply-sloping 4th green, the monster par-4, index 1 7th, the view from the 8th tee, the recently re-designed short par-4 10th and the huge 16th, where you're usually happy with a bogey. Lovely scenery, great greens (they've improved since my day) and the best pint of Guinness for miles !
