Castle Eden Golf Club

Our society played here on October 31st and we all agreed for the time of year and recent heavy rain the course was in excellent condition,the greens were very fast,my only course complaint was the bunkers were very compacted sand so you could putt out of them,they needed raking. Unfortunately our abiding memory will be being banished to the clubhouse conservatory after our round as one of our members sons(aged7) turned up in jeans and they wren happy.he wasn't even playing,just walked course with his dad.

Myself and 4 friends played here on Wednesday 17th February and considering the amount of rain that fell the previous night I was really surprised at just how dry the course was. It's a beautiful tree lined course with some brilliant holes which is split into 2 distinctive halfs. The first half dozen holes are on one side of the clubhouse and the other play towards Castle Eden. There are some long holes on the course but thrown in with the par 3's it all evens out nicely. There are too many holes to mention as each one feels different than the last and I can imagine it would be gorgeous in the summer when the trees are in full bloom. We paid £20 for our round here with £5 of that going towards a sleeve of golf balls (which I didnt need or want) so found that a little strange but all the staff were really helpful and friendly and I would love to go back and play it again on a warm summer afternoon. overall 8.5 out of 10

Played here 16 Feb 2011. What a lovely course this is, some cracking holes amd quite tranquil a definate I will be playing again in the summer without a doubt, all 5 of our group loved it big thumbs up, cheap grub in bar too
