1 review of Cawdor Castle Golf Course

Unexpectedly, when driving to the castle, this neat golf course appeared, nicely embedded in a mature park. It names itself "wee golf course", and small it is indeed, 9 holes, 1331 yds of length. Holes 1 to 8 are straight Par 3s which include challenges by length, trees, uphill and blind play - I didn't hit one green. #9, the longest hole, bends around a small wood, and instead of 80 yds forward + a long 160 yds approach I tried to take the short route. I might have gotten to the green in 2 if not the ball had come to rest on the wrong side of a tree . The course was in good shape though championship finish on the greens cannot be expected. The visitors' cafe of the castle is close by. All in all, a nice walk through the park, 10 GBP for a round, while the non-golfing company may take a look into the interesting castle.
