The £12 Tee Off Times fee was so cheap that some members felt they should complain. My strong view is to snap it up. As the wind was from the east the balance of the course I played was not as the designer intended but was still challenging. While most drives allow you to open your shoulders the greens are well protected. I was allowed to play from the white tees a privilege of particular importance on the par 3's where the yellows are 30yds closer to the greens. Hitting the green at the 235yd 13th must be very satisfying. The par 5's are also excellent with tactics necessary in strokeplay and risk or reward for matchplay. There are a couple of easy par 4's early on but 7 over 390yds in the last 13 holes. The 6th (a very tight drive) and 12th are the pick while the fountain in the water on 16 seems to make the reasonably easy 2nd shot frightening. Fairways and greens were good and the only minus point was the bunkers. Members told me there is insufficient sand in them.

Visited Friday 31st August and thought this was a cracking course, in fabulous condition and good value (paid £20 for the round). The course was not too crowded and facilities were very good. Each hole was challenging in its own way, with plenty of well placed water and sand hazards but also, by and large, generous fairways and forgiving rough. The greens were well kept and true, although challenging, as sometimes difficult to read. All in all, most impressed, as I think this course is of a high standard but priced very well. Would recommend to all.

Played the course over Easter after not playing it for a couple of years. Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf (helps when you play well!). The 16th is a lovely hole with a tricky short iron over a lake. The course was in fantastic nick and the greens were true. Well worth a visit and I'll definitely be back soon

Really impressed by the course. It was a pleasure to play there, the whole atmosphere of the club was great from the pro shop to the bar staff at the 19th. The course marshall was a welcomed surprise at the first. The course was only let down slightly by the inconsistent and slowish greens but to be fair they had had some work done on them lately. Would play there as often as possible. Well worth the visit.

played chartham park on sunday august 20th,some tight fairways, well placed punkers, water comes into play on seveal holes. found the 16th the best hole but the 13th a 235 yard par 3 is also very tough. weaknesses were the greens were slow and inconsistent mainly because they had been sanded and there were quite alot of holes which were straight and boring.

played this course on friday 28th july very hot conditions course was in great shape, especially with the very hot weather we have been having lately. the greens were in great shape firm and true, fairways were also very good. on the down side there were a lot of children running about (due the health club) screaming and shouting at each other which was a bit off putting, when your trying to relax with a pint after a good round with your mates overall a very nice and relaxed club house staff very friendly. will be back even if it's only to play the 16th 17th & 18th what a lovely way to finish your round par birdie birdie. great course

Played here in early April 2006 using a voucher which meant the green fee was only £18.75, although the course was quite boggy, from all the comments from other courses in the area, this was to be expected, the greens were in very good shape. The course is quite tight at times but there is many holes that you can get the driver out. The 16th is the best with the out of bounds down the left and water before the green makes this hole quite fun. Will certainly return. My only negative point is the bar area has been greatly reduced since my last vist, as they have now opened health suite within the club house. I think after a Sunday morning medal the bar would feel quite cramped.

Played here on a corporate day and therefore absolutely excellent value for money. All aspects of the course were in excellent condition especially the greens, which were not too fast and true. The most memorable hole has to be the sixteenth a downhill par 4 with out of bounds on the left and water left, right and in front of the green. Many other excellent holes including the sixth which has a very tight tee shot. Food and facilities are excellent.

Chartham Park is a fantastic course. We played in the middle of May and bearing in mind that every green was sprinkled with sand (obviously had a few problems with them through the winter), it stood out as one of the best value tracks I’ve played in the South East. There wasn’t a poorly designed hole on the course and you had to play your best game to score well. The practice facilities were excellent, including a real grass practice range. The clubhouse was top notch, the food was pretty good – not sure about the garlic mayo in the burger though! Would recommend this course to anyone who hits a pretty straight ball, the deep rough will eat up any errant tee shots. In short, highly recommended.

I was impressed by what I saw of the course. However as this was only the front nine I can't comment on the back nine. My playing partner & I walked off the course after nine holes having followed two groups of fourballs (using buggies) after 3 hours. There was no marshalling to be seen!!!. I would like to complete the course but am wary of a repeat performance.

Played this course yesterday for the first time, it was great. started with a good cooked brakfast then onto the course which was a joy to play and in very good condition. It was busy out there and took about 4.5 hours but I'm not complaining, Ill be back with my 2four1 yes indeedee!

Although only a few years old, Chartham Park has already settled down to be a really good test of golf and appears to be much older than it actually is!! I hold a large society meeting here every september and have always found the course to be in immaculate condition and a warm welcome awaits in the clubhouse. Notable holes are the sixth and eleventh, a brilliant par 5 with a lake that is oh so easy to find running down the right!! Many a good round been spoilt by this one!!!!

This course is a solid test of golf by anyone's standard, particularly when played from the white tees. The course can play exceptionally long with tight fairways and a number of strategically placed water hazards. This said it is a joy to play with relatively fast greens in the summer, well manicured fairways and a more than adequate clubhouse. Not a Wentworth or a Sunningdale but a top class course none the less, which is reasonably priced and accessible to non-members.
