Played here in a charity event on 25 May 2014. First time I have played this course even though I have played the majority in the area. And what a little gem it is, great course which I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish, got to be up there with the best in the north east. I would play it again without hesitation and even a couple of my group said they would join had they not already been members elsewhere. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Not one I would drive to the ends of the earth to play again, but a nice day nontheless. City of Newcastle is on of a number of courses within a few miles, and the clubhouse, without being overly grand, is pleasant and nicely designed. Ideal for winding down after a game with good selection of food and drinks. We played on a wet day with little run on the fairways, and I would imagine a dry spell would shorten the course considerably and make it easier. To be fair, it's in good condition at the moment and has excellent greens. I certainly wouldn't complain at the green fees and everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming. As I said - very pleasant one to play if you like friendly, unpretentious golf on a nice course in pleasant surroundings.

Played City Of Newcastle yesterday whilst on business in the north east very enjoyable course, some tricky holes, sun was shining but god was it windy. the guy i was with, 16 handicapper, took a pw on the 12th (191yd par 3) and went through the back of the green! this meant that both of us were more than happy with 29 points. only let down was the lack of yardage charts, always handy when you don't know the course £17 with 2fore1 voucher so good value as well
