What a little gem this course is. A true test of links golf, that requires every type of shot to score well. From the moment you step up to the elevated tee into the teeth of the wind to the gentle opening par 3 and reach for your.......urm........3 wood!!!!! You know your in for a challenge (Saw lots of the members using drivers here.) Yes the steel works are ugly, but it kind of adds to the drama of the place. The huge sand dunes remind you of St Andrews new course in places. Fairways and greens are tip top, and can take water easily. One gripe- tee areas are shocking for a course of this quality, either over grown, or not a blade of grass. All in all, i will return and have sunday roast with mushy peas....??? in the clubhouse again.

This course is an absolute gem, played in an open competition for £12 per pair! if this course was not in the shadow of the steelworks it would be rated along with Englands finest links, the greens are fast & true and the two members we played with could not have been more friendly & welcoming. Do not let the surroundings put you off & give this beauty a try!

The course is in excellent condition and despite the recent run of bad weather it has not been closed at all. The links nature of the course allows excellent drainage and the greens are the best in the area. Current green fees are ridiculously low and I would certainly recommend a visit before they rise.

I am retired and play this course approximately three times a week. The new holes have improved greatly over the last two years making the course a good but fair challenge. The new head green keeper and his staff are doing an excellent job making it a pleasure to play this course with friendly and helpful members.

This is without doubt the finest golf course within Yorkshire. A friendly atmosphere around the clubhouse and with the addition of three new holes it will test anyone's game. An absolute delight

A very good links course, right on the edge of the North Sea.\r\nWhere even on a calm day the wind still seems to blow.\r\nThe course is always in very good condition and rarely closes due to adverse weather.
