Coxmoor Golf Club

Played here the day before the RAF championships and what a treat. Fantastic greens and course. Really varied holes with some birdie opportunities which didn't work out for me!! Members and staff were great really friendly and we didn't have to break the bank for food and drink. Well worth a visit. Marc Tryner

We travelled a long way to play "The Robin Hood Tour". Coxmoor the last of three. Why don't golf management tell you when they have a "maintenance week", which means the greens are unputtable, if they had we would have avoided it. I cannot really give an unbiased review because of this, but if I say I WILL return just to give it another chance. There is a good variety of holes, it is much more undulating than you expect and has a greater variety of topography, heathland, tree lined etc.,than the other big two in Nottingham. On a nice summer day I am sure I will come off with a smile on my face, rather than the scowl of disappointment, and loss of £38 green fee on my first visit.

Fantastic club with a new head greenkeeper. Course was in fantastic shape very quick greens, a real test of golf, we are doing a UK tour and this is one of the best we've played. Great food and friendly members well worth playing!!

Love this course, have played many times and always seem to shoot a good score. 4 par 5s are easily reachable with good drive and mid long iron. Keep it straight and lots of birdie chances. Very nice fast greens. Highly reccomended

Played here 12th dec 10.05 am,as i was told very tricky,i enjoyed the round ,(BUT).... The greens are in need of a good open tracking,ive played here and thats all i can say.....nice people ,nice members ,very easy for the learner to this great game....................

Our society played in May on a last minute booking. We weren't disappointed! Several members thought it one of the best courses we have played. It's got lots of variety and plenty of different challenges. The course was in excellent condition and I would recommend it unreservedly.

Best course I've played in the area for along time. Greens are wonderful provided you hit the right club and the course layout is great. Not a course you can grip it and rip it but you need to apply a little thought to acheive the best score possible. Perhaps better suited to the lower handicap golfers but players of all abilities should be able to enjoy this wonderful course.

An absolute joy to play. Very friendly welcome for our society. Great variations in the design, with the complete range of challenges, using the natural contours and features of the landscape. Even better teh second time around.
