Played this course on 6th & 7th May 2012 as part of a friend's birthday weekend event, a nice course but spoilt a bit by overuse during recent poor weather conditions by the look of things. Due to the number of societies playing, round on first day took about 5 hours, but quicker on the 2nd. Fairways in average condition at best & greens were slow & "fluffy" with seed heads, holes were crowned. The hotel is very impressive in appearance, and the public areas are wonderfully ornate. Our room however was tired and way past an overhaul, with sleep being spoilt by people in the corridor at 3.30am shouting & singing, so soundproofing probably wouldn't meet the standards expected of a more up to date hotel. The food was very good from the buffet, more than ample in the amounts available, well cooked & of good quality. Drink prices were fairly typical of what you would expect to pay in a hotel when you are a captive audience, but not too unreasonable.

Played here on a golf society sunday night stopover at the De Vere Hotel. For starters, 80 quid for 27 holes of golf, dinner, bed and breakfast was great value! As for the course itself, not overly challenging, but as it's a resort course, they obviously dont want to encourage slow play. Greens were in very good condition, fairways slightly less so, but considering the amount of rounds played on it, not bad after a very wet summer. The holes themselves are interesting and varied and picturesque. All in all a great weekend and well worth a visit.

We played Dunston Hall as part of an overnight golf break Unfortunately, the weather conditions meant we had to rebook at nearly Weston Park for the first day (all sorted by the more than helpful staff in the pro-shop at Dunston) The second day only holes 1-8, 10 & 11 were open but this didn't spoil our enjoyment of the day. The previous weather had made conditions a little tricky but you can see the potential for great gold given better weather Overall an enjoyable experience

I think this course was very easy and the fairways were running quite fast. Much easier when wet because greens are small and you need to hold the ball.

Although this is a fairly short course it is still surprisingly difficult. The fairways are not too wide and there are many tee shots where Out of Bounds is a real possibility. Low handicappers may think that this is an easy course on paper, they will be surprised.

Market Weighton Golf Society played the course in July as part of their tour and all 28 really enjoyed the whole day. The pro was very friendly and helpful, the course was a great test (every hole different) and we were made very welcome. Was the best course we played. Definately worth a visit. Look forward to playing again!

After 2/3 weeks of dry weather the course was very hard. Hazards aropund the greens which made it a very interesting course and quite a challenge also made it very difficult to hit the greens and stay on. I'd play it again but might check it has been well watered before making the trip.

A fun and varied course with a number of interesting holes. Interestingly, the newer nine holes seem to have settled down better than the original nine and make good use of the pine woodland through which they have been built. Prone to be badly affected by winter weather with water logging a particular problem. Dunston Hall hotel offers good accommodation and food and a superb swimming pool complex for anyone wanting to make a weekend of their visit.

Well drained fairways but greens were a liitle wet, very helpful in the pro-shop. A good course layout using water hazards well, was difficult in the strong wind.

A tight course with narrow fairways and smallish greens. Lots of water hazards to make this a very interesting course to play, especially the 16th where the green is surrounded by water. Club pro is a little unfriendly and not very helpful, but members seem OK.
