Annually I organise a trip to Bournemouth to play golf for 16 golfers. This was our second time at Dudsbury and I have already booked for next year increasing our number to 20 due to the success. Dudsbury offers great facilities and a challenging and a well kept course. All of my group had a great day and have requested a return visit. Thanks to Andy Rideout and his staff for the ease of booking. We had a mix of handicaps from 11 to 28 all of which enjoyed it immensely. The Hotel and Spa facilities look inviting so I may well think of using for another trip maybe with partners. Thanks again. Excellent course.
We held our annual Charity Golf Day at Dudsbury Golf Club. Our golfers had a fantastic day with over 70% of them saying they would prefer to play at Dudsbury over other local clubs for our 2017 golf day. The course and weather were fantastic. The support we got from Andy, the Course Marshals and Professionals made all the difference to the smooth running of our day. Andy supported us months in advance catering to every need we required even allowing us to use an external caterer who offered to sponsor our charity golf day. We look forward to returning.
Took a group of 36 recently to Dudsbury as part of a golf tour and though it was just one day after a heavy storm which hit us the day before at Isle of Purbeck, the course had drained well and we all enjoyed the challenge. The course has an interesting layout and some of the holes are particularly memorable. Though we had a mix of handicaps from 6 to 28 all thought the Club offered excellent value and would be happy to pay a return visit in due course. We did not stay at the hotel but it looks nice and would consider it in future.
Played two rounds at Dudsbury Golf Club on 26th and 27th September 2015. This is a wonderful course with superb layout and beautiful scenery. The course had some challenging holes with well maintained greens, fairways and bunkers. Strongly recommended, we will return in the future.
Julia's House held yet another amazing charity golf day this September at The Dudsbury Golf Club. The team were amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating to us. The food was great and we have already booked in again for next year.
The Course is superb to play Enjoyed a society golf day with 24 players in September And all agreed it was a day to remember The course has great tee positions and every hole is challenging and interesting We played a match play tournement and enjoyed the prize giving after a superb Evening meal The staff and catering was excellent at Dudsbury and we would like to return In the future
We played at Dudsbury last year and just had to return this year. The course is challenging but not overly difficult for our mixed handicap society. We thought the course was well presented last year but it was better than we remembered this year and the staff are very welcoming. I am reluctant to write any more positives as I don't want to spoil the best kept secret in Bournemouth
Our sixteen strong Society played here last month and were well looked after. The first nine holes are interesting and challenging but the pace certainly hots up from the 10th onwards and there is an excellent range of holes with never a dull moment. Even seemingly straightforward holes have drainage ditches and strategically placed bunkers in awkward places! The greens were in excellent order and the course nicely and tidily presented. We all really enjoyed the experience backed up by excellent preordered sandwiches afterwards in a pleasant clubhouse. This can be strongly recommended.
Played at Dudsbury on 10/9/13. The course was in very good condition, except for the greens which had been very recently sanded and so were a bit on the slow side. The opening holes gently ease you into the round being on the flattest part of the course. The 6th hole is a good uphill par 5 and probably the best hole on the front half. The best holes are found on the back nine, with the 16th a superb par 4. Very good modern clubhouse with excellent food, a fine selection of ales, and good staff service.
Superb golf course, you have to plot your way around this course( it's not all about the driver), tees and greens greens were in lovely condition a real joy to play, coupled with courteous bar staff I would rate this as a must play venue.
PLayed the Course for the first time on Friday 9 July 04.This is a very well kept and challenging golf course.I was a pay and play player and all the staff were polite and help-ful and so were the club members playing that day. The course has water cleverly placed on near all holes which makes club selection from the tee important. The course is elevated and so if walking prepare for going up and down hills.I'd recommend this course for those with a reasonable handicap as it's very easy to lose balls in the plentiful water and rough.
Opened in the early 1990's this course has recovered very well from over play in its early days. The current administration have turned a good back nine into an excellent and challenging 18 holes. It is long and water comes into play all over the course. Good layout with the best stretch being the par 3 15th, par 4 16th and par 5 17 th played either side of a lake. Great views from some of the elevated tees, particularly the 12th, take time to enjoy the view before fully concentrating on this difficult par 4.
