Approach to the club house give the impression of quite a set up but I confess to being a little dissapointed with course layout. Hole 5-12 are very tight and a constant shout of "four" can be a little off putting. However staff and members very accommodating and in the main friendly - Would I play it again ??
Fantastic course, great views, and very challenging. Very friendly staff and the course copes well with the drainage. Wind can be a problem though.
My friend and I played this course yesterday. We took advantage of the twilight rate - £10 each. What a bargain!! The course was in excellant condition and was a pleasure to play.Greens all running true and well kept fairways. The par 3 16th is one of the best holes i have ever played. Do not miss out on this Lancashire gem!!
Two of us played here for the 1st time on 04 Oct 09 in glorious conditions following a lot of wet weather and we were both impressed with how well it had drained. Every aspect of the course was in very good condition and well worth the £20 we paid. If I was to make one suggestion it would be that the score card should have a map of the course as there are a couple of tees that aren't in obvious positions from the preceding green, plus it would help a lot on the holes where the tee shots are blind. But that's all I could suggest really so that's not too bad is it?
Played a 3 ball on Monday 17th July 07 - another smashing moorland course, very interesting golf holes and spectacular scenery. On a 2 for 1 voucher, superb value for money.
