Dyrham Park Golf Club

Even though it was Mid-June the weather was horrendous...but...this course takes it and the greens are A1 and a pleasure to putt on...the course itself is tricky but playable and never tedious. Afterwards...well the food and service are probably the best we have come across in 25 years...they laid on a barbecue even though the weather said NO WAY..they have a guy in the changing rooms who cleans all your shoes...golf and casual..it just ticks so many boxes it will be a revisit year after year for us..more clubs should follow this place and the way they do things... Best overall society package i've come across in the surrounding counties.As society organiser the day was made very easy for me,with such an excellent service from everone at the club.The course was in good condition especially the greens for the time of the year.The hole to test any golfer is the 7th,on arrival at the tee it looks daunting with a lake in front of you which takes 160-220yd carry depending how brave you felt.Even though i didn't play well on the day i still enjoyed every hole. Clubhouse has got excellent facilities with great food as well. Add it on your list of must play courses you won't be disappointed.

I played here as part of a society on a very windy day 23/03/09. The fairway's were wide but the bunker's were well placed to make you think about your shot and both were in excellent condition.The green's still had sign's winter treatment but were very fast for the time of year.Off course facilities were excellent including food,service,and clubhouse.As a winter package this was the best society package that i have been part of and i'm now taking my society so that they can have as good a day that we all had.
