Easter Moffat's (EM)layout is by and large very welcoming. Set in the countryside, just East of Airdrie, it is one of more relaxing courses I have played in Central Scotland. It is better than the typical parkland course. Fairways go off in different directions, and one often feels quietly isolated from the rest of the play. This is really a luxury for a layout in EM's price range. It is also set near the crest of a large ridge. It's easy to walk, but many of the views are lovely. I really like the layout, with only a random hole here and there categorized as somewhat uninteresting. Again, at its price range (low 20's in 2009)this is one of the more fun courses you can play. It's a hidden treat, and no pushover. I've enjoyed it immensely the last few years, and try to get back a couple times each season. I play off "eleven," and have been under five earlier in my life. EM presents a freshness and challenge every time I play it. Its clubhouse is a beautiful old renovated manor house. It must be one of the nicer clubhouses around. EM is well worth your spare quid!

An excellent golfing experience - nice course in good condition and a friendly club. The course has some great holes, with the back 9 being harder than the front, particularly 11 and 12 which are hardest back-to back holes on the course. The par 3s are all good. 5 is very tough and 18 is a fantastic finish (although with everyone pitching in from an elevated tee the green is a bit of a nightmare - I don't envy the greenkeepers). Only a couple of slight moans: the fairways are quite scrubby and there's a bit of a walk between tees but there's lots of wildlife and on a nice day it's a pleasure. Well worth playing in my opinion.

Easter Moffat is an excellent course which at times appears to play relatively easily. However there have been many additions to the course over the past year or so including several deep fairway bunkers, which help wreck a scorecard. Two of the "easiest" holes are the short eighth and ninth although on occasion they become the undoing of a good round. The eighteenth is legendary and has cost a few players the championship down the years. negatives- Locker rooms are shabby positives- Clubhouse is excellent and the bar area has recently been renovated. Food VG. friendly atmosphere Brendan O`Neill member since 1990, handicap 7

I enjoy playing Easter Moffat, its my local course although im not a member but have had the privelege of playing it a few times. A few tough challenging holes and a few short Par 4's that require a bit of course management. Favourite hole is the 123 yard par 3 18th which i ve had the privelege of having a hole in one. This is a must play course

I"ve played this course many times in the past few years.I"ve always enjoyed playing it.For a high handicapper like myself it is the perfect test of golf.A great mix of holes, some easy, a couple of blind holes, the hardest two holes I always find are the 1st and the 11th.If you are in the area it"s well worth a round!

Easter moffat is a very nice test of golf suitable for all levels of ability. I palyed it in novermber on a relativly clam and was three under par playing the last. stuck it in the bunker and took 5. Some nice holes espically around the turn 7-12. Short but tempting par 4's. A very enjoyablr course will definatly play again, greens in good condition for time of year.

I played this course with 3no local players rangeing from 1 to 18 handicap .Only the player off 1 managed to deal with the wind that suddenly appeared aroung the turn .Indeed on my visit Moffet felt like two courses with the front 9 playing fine and the back nine that is far more open proving very difficult .In conclusion a nice course that will come back at you in particular the 2no back holes of 450yds plus!.

I have played this course in their enior's competition over the last 4/5 years and because it is an excellent test of golf and a friendly club I look forward to playing it. One of these days I might even master it!
