Played at Eastham Lodge for the first time on October 15th. Everyone we came across - the greenskeeper, the pro, and members on the course were very friendly and welcoming - not at all dismissive of visitors. The practice facilities are good - a well-kept putting green, three practice nets, and a chipping area. It's been said elsewhere that the course is relatively short, but this certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment. There are a few 420 yard par4s, but the majority of holes require accurate mid and short irons rather than big hitting. The course has a good mixture of holes, and the fairway bunkering and quality of the greens impressed us particularly. All in all it's a very enjoyable course, and well worth £17.50 of anyone's money! Can't comment on the clubhouse - but if it matches the rest of the club then I'm sure it's equally welcoming.

Recently played a couple of times and was that impressed by the course that I seriously considered joining. The only thing holding me back is the length of the course and the price. £15 on a 2-4-1 voucher represents great value though. Beautiful course, great greens, playable bunkers and very good general upkeep meant I was almost putting my hand in my pocket for the £898 annual fee. The staff and members we spoke to were very friendly indeed and I carded a score some 6 below my handicap. If only it was a little longer it would be a top, top course.

Anybody interested in playing Eastham Lodge's course should not be put off by the comments detailed in 2008. The course has improved tremendously and the greens and fairways are in top class condition. It is a tricky course, you need to be straight and it has its challenges but it is a pleasure to play on. Members are very friendly and the clubhouse is welcoming.

PLAYED EASTHAM RECENTLY AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THEY HAVE THE WORST GREENS I HAVE EVER PLAYED ON. COURSE IS VERY TIGHT WITH LOTS OF DOG LEGS. FOR £15 WITH A 2-1 VOUCHER I WOULD RECOMMEND THE LOCAL MUNI BRACKENWOOD. NO WONDER THEY ARE OFFERING NO JOINING FEE WHEN THE COUSRE IS AS BAD AS THAT!!!! WOULD NOT GO BACK

this is a very pretty and challenging course. can understand why some would not enjoy as you do have to be very presise from the tee. high handicappers will get tired from looking for there ball. green not the best, but only 2nd in the area to bromborough, alhough eastham is a far more challenging course. it has some fantastic and pretty holes an the course is well defined by trees. seen brackenhack was mentioned as a preferable destination but only if your handicap is 24 and over. eastham is a tru challenge of your all round golfing game and is definately worth a visit. i for sure will be heading back and if was more local would consider membership.

Played yesterday in the Rain, thought being a private course it would be good, how wrong was I. It is a short course so sometimes taking a iron or fairway would is all is thats needed off the tee. Good if you can shape the ball cause lots ot trees and tight fairways. The greens were the worst i've played on in 5 years of golf. They were like the fairway. will try it again later in year if greens are better and its not raining but for £15.50 each with a 2 fore 1 was over priced, the local brakenwood which is £11 was is much better to play at the mommet. Proberly better when the greens are fixed.
