Fairfield Golf and Sailing Club

Since the new development in 2010 this course has now fully matured and is a real test for all levels of golfer.No 2 holes are the same--a real treat and thinking golfers test.With news of the new clubhouse being built, this club is now really on the map and bucking the trend.

If you have played this course before 2010 and never come back you are missing out .This course is now one of the toughest around the area

Fairfield has recently undergone some major reconstruction that has definitely improved the course. It will take a couple of years for the changes to fully bed in but well done to all concerned for a brave move. One concern I do have regards the wildlife. During the last Open, I witnessed a ninja baby squirrel that was clearly out to nail any golfer within a 20 yard radius of the first green. On the 12th I thought I was seeing things when a rabbit climbed a tree. On voicing my observation to my playing partners, a member cleared things up, "it's actually a squirrel; the crows like to peck their tails off! Look out Alfred ?hitchcock!
