Fardew Golf Club

15 September 2009 Eight keen golfers of mixed abilities played 36 holes on this course. We hired buggies for the day at a very reasonable rate. We expected to get dizzy going round 4 times. Instead we all looked forward to replaying the holes. There are elevated tees/greens on most holes. Some are particularly challenging. It is a lovely well maintained course with great views. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The only minor criticism were weeds in a couple of the greenside bunkers. The facilities were limited to tea/coffee and bacon sanwiches, no bar, which suited us because of the amount of golf we played. If we return to the area next year we will definitely return to Fardew.
