5 reviews of Finca Cortesín Golf Club
My third visit to this superb venue - stunning surroundings, superbly laid out golf course in fantastic condition. Off course, simply cannot fault them - friendly, professional, nothing is too much trouble. Finca Cortesin undoubtedly have got it right in every aspect!
Revisited Finca for the second year running and my thoughts echo last year's comments - a superb course with fantastic facilities that is, in my opinion, worth every penny.
Played for the first time on our annual trip in a group of 16 with varying handicaps. All 16 on the trip agreed this was head and shoulders above anything we've played on the Costa down the years. A very warm welcome was received - clubs removed from vehicles for us and taken to the impressive driving range where balls were provided in the package. Buggies supplied with fruit and water are also included in the package. The course itself is fabulous, with greens that were both quick and true whilst remaining very receptive to approach shots. So many good holes, it's hard to single out just one that is fabulous. The 15th across the ravine isn't for the faint hearted! Long par 3s are order of the day bar the 17th, par 4s vary in length to accomodate all, par 5s weren't ridiculous. I think the driveable par 4 4th was possibly my favourite - simply because I like proper risk reward holes. We were well looked after on the course as we were stocked up with water and food as we went around. We were well looked after in the Clubhouse, and again all clubs were in the van by the time we went to meet our driver. All in all, an outstanding experience on a top quality golf course, and one I would recommend to anyone.
A very impressive set up with class written all over it. From your clubs being loaded onto your buggy on arrival, through the clubhouse and the course itself to your clubs being cleaned before being returned to your car! A beautiful setting in the hillside over looking the med. A huge course in superb condition. We were two three balls of very mixed ability who all rated the course highly although on reflection none of us could agree on the most memorable hole probably as they were all of a very high standard. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and treat yourself, be warned its not cheap!
Played Finca Cortesin with a party from Caernarfon Golf Club on the 5th October, 2008. Firstly we were greeted by the Caddy Master and one of the Pros, and asked to leave our bags so they could put them on the buggies for us, while we were ushered to the Clubhouse for tea and coffee. When we approached the buggies we were informed of our Courtesy use of the practice range, which is located directly in front of the Clubhouse. The balls were arranged in pyramid fashion alongside every tee mat. Lastly the course. The course is the Longest in Spain measuring 6800 yards off the yellows and a massive 7800 yards form the championship tees. Our expectations from visiting the website were high and we were not dissapointed. This course is the best I have ever played in Spain or in Britain. Each hole had a different character, no blandness, a truly breathtaking experience. As one of our party stated " I think I've died and gone to Heaven". Thanks to all the Staff at Finca Cortesin for their assistance with everything on the day, and I would thoroughly recommend it to all levels of player.
