This is a wonderful course in great condition. The greens are superb and even the numerous trees are friendly and seem to spit your ball back onto the fairway.we were paired with 2 local players who were great fun, perfect golf manners real gentleman, the staff in the clubhouse were great,it was Mothers Day on the day we played but were still given great meal and service amongst all the old ladies being taken out for a meal. Will recommend to all players
Six of us played this course on the 23/03/07, we all enjoyed different aspects, the greens were in great condition, one of the par 3's I needed oxygen but what a course. Fantastic value for money, friendly staff. We will return.
This golf course is a hidden gem. I see European Tour courses played every week that are not as good as this, plus the fact it is so ridiculously cheap. The fairways and greens were magnificent. No wonder this is nicknamed 'the Augusta of France' in golf magazines. If you are anywhere near this, even three hours drive away, you will not be dissapointed when you get there. Superb.
Played here two days at the end of May 04. You need only one word to describe this course. SUPERMAGNIFICENT!!
I played this course in the summer of 2003 and the place is an absolute gem. I've played Wentworth, Loch Lomond, Royal Dornoch and numerous other courses in the UK which are considered world class and with the exception of the closing two holes this course is right up there with them from both a condition and layout point of view. I played rubbish but still enjoyed every minute of it. Great.
Played 4th Oct 2003 and it is even better than I remember first time around, some 5 years ago. A new club house is open and course starts on what was the 2nd, the old 1st is now the 18th. Some would consider this a poor finishing hole in golf terms but it is one of the two holes around the chateaux. However, 17 and 18 are soon to disappear altogether as two new holes at the beginning of the back nine will come into play in 2004. It means the chateau isn't in view on any hole (that's how tight and tree-lines it is!) and there will be no time to relax. Superb condition and not to be missed.
This course is a Diamond. We played it in July 2001 just after they had changed the order of the holes. The 17th hole provides a majestic finish to a wonderfull course. Shame that the 18th is so bland
When the brochures describe this course as a Wentworth or Woburn they are doing it an injustice.
