1 review of Golf de Mazamet la Barouge
I have played there several times. The course is well-kept and in very pleasant surroundings. Rarely crowded. The first three holes are straightforward - two par 4s and a par 3. The fourth is testing with a blindish drive needing some length to access the green with a second. Hole 5 is a short par 4 and 6 is an easy 3. 7 is interesting with the drive having to be just the right length to clear the right handed dog leg. 8 is a long par three to a crowned green on a hill and very challenging. 9 is an interesting slight dog leg par 4. 10 is a challenging long par 3 surrounded by bunkers. 11 is a very long par 5 - don't slice or you'll visit the river! 12 and 13 are easy 4s. 14 is another longish par 3. Too long or left and you are in serious trouble! Hole 15 is the most difficult on the course - a long par 4 with the river on the right and blocked out on the left. A difficult blind approach to a narrow green. 16 is a dog leg left - don't hit with a slice; out of bounds beckons! 17 Is VERY uphill - heart attack country. The final hole has a magnificent tee dshot off a very elevated tee. A good strike will get 320-330 yards but the green, across the road is further thsan it looks. A spectacular finishing hole. Green fees are very reasonable especially on Fridays for over 55's. This course is well worth playing.
