2 reviews of Golf Park Puntiro
Have just returned from a 6 course tour of Mallorca and have played Puntiro for the first time. Course is 'off the beaten track' and there are no villas or hotels to spoil the view. Friendly welcome on arrival and not as over priced as most of the island courses. Course is relatively flat and could be walked by most people dependant on temperature. The course is a 'Nicklaus design' and, although not tight,is set up to punish anything off line. Also the bunkers are superbly placed and will catch anything around the 220 - 240 yard mark from the tee. Fairways and greens in excellent condition and the (man-made) lakes do add to the difficulty level. Overall I think that this course doesn't get the footfall it probably deserves and I would happily return or reccomend this to anybody
Played Puntiro last week. Very quiet due to the time of year which was great for us. Used a buggy (35 euros)due to the temp but would have no problem walking the course if cooler. Although there appears plenty of room looking from the tee the course is set up to punish anything off line with bunkers strategically placed around 200-220m. Four holes have water in play and anywhere off the fairway will likely mean a lost ball with loads of bushes etc there to conceal the wayward shot. The fairways and greens were in excellent conditions and as the course is quite high up, there were some lovely views to be had of the surrounding countryside. Very friendly staff, nice clubhouse. Paid £102 for a 2-ball through Longmore golf - better than Son Antem but not in the same league as Son Vida
