Played here on 9 October 2013. Clubhouse nice, lady in bar was very very friendly. We had food before and after and it was really nice. Pro shop well stocked not too big but pro was helpful. Course is flat and tree lined, was a tad wet underfoot in places but they had 3 days of rain prior to our visit. Some long Par 3's, but on a calm sunny day can be a good scoring course. Easy accessible from Windermere area too.
played this course twice whilst on holiday with my 11year old son and had two brilliant days. Played on a two for one ticket at £20 a round. The course itself isn't too long but there are plenty of water hazards to watch out for so that doesn't make things any easier. The par 3s are quite long with 4 of the 5 measuring over 170 yards And are tough tests. Decent off course facilities also with good practice facilities & two good bar meals.on the twwwo days we were there....... The staff were all extremely friendly A course a high handicapper will enjoy as its a fair course rewarding decent shots. Hope to visit again.
I played Grange at the end of last month for the first time on a Sunday with a two-for-one voucher. A great little holiday coarse with perhaps the best hole the par 5... 9th over the water what a great hole. The only critism was that it is an eighteen hole course trying to fit in a nine hole lay out,it can be tin-hat golf at times. If the committee could place direction signs from green to tee it would help to speed up play, instead of walking up and down trying to find the next tee.Although we had a lot of rain throughout the night before we played the greens were good and the course played long, but no standing water.A great day out
Three of us played the course in Sept on a greenfree voucher whilst on holiday in the lakes. At the end of the round we sat in the bar and tried to decide the best holes, the problem is we couldn't, they are all the same, flat, open and bland. We all played to our handicaps, and the only thing that stopped us destroying the course was the greens which were the slowest i have ever played, six feet short was the norm on the front nine!.The advantages of being a member here would be a single figure handicap and being able to use the same sleeve of balls all year long. At £25 a round this does not offer value for money. To end on a positive note the breakfast was good, the staff helpfull and the members friendly, but oh the course, bland, bland, bland!
brilliant course its my home course and i recomend it a lot its a challenge and off the course is brill to with exellent facilities
Played this course in May 2005, 36 holes in the day, with lunch in the clubhouse.Deceptive course- looks bland and easy, but has many hazards, some of them unseen.I managed to find 3 of them in the course of a single hole! Great views, lovely day out. Must come back and try to play properly.
Lovely, friendly course with amazing views of surrounding lake district area...strongly recommended.
Super little course with friendly members and easy walking. Food is recommended
