Played there in a ladies event last year. The course was the best coursed i,ve played in a long time. The course was in immaculate condition and is England's very own Augusta! The Staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend playing this course in summer for the best golfing experience.

Played here December ,2011. An o.k course ,but not one i'd be desperate to play again. Fairly typical of North London courses in that it's quite compact & has houses along a perimeter. There aren't many level holes & as a result i found it tiring to play with lots of inclines to negotiate & it felt a bit bleak & uninspiring playing here in the Winter. Individually the holes are decent but due to the compactness they tend to run a bit up & down .From the clubhouse looking down there are 5 holes more or less in a row .I also wasn't keen on the configuration loop (holes 12 - 14) which went away from the clubhouse then ended up back there 3 holes later. Positives were good par 3's ,nice water features in the middle of the course & i liked that there were several short par 4's .Also ,the historical clubhouse at the top of the course is very impressive. Quite expensive for what it is & in the area i found South Herts & Hendon more enjoyable to play. Kevin B.

This is a very good and challenging course with a feeling of space and tranquility. I have played this course regularly in recent years and it is definately improving, with new tees and bunkering adding to the challenge. There are some good holes, many with raised greens, so club up or risk rolling back off the front fringe. This course is a challenge but can be forgiving in places, it is however a fair test with some tough long uphill par 4s. Regarding the comments below on the greens, I do not think this reflects how they were playing when I last visited. The greens are on the whole quite large, some tiered, with suble borrows to challenge most of us. They are flat and true but not super quick. In winter when wet some of the greens can get quite soft and a little bumpy, but for most of the year they are a joy to putt on. Great driving range and clubhouse facilities with good food.

A great example of a McKenzie golf course set in beautiful surroundings, boardered by palacial houses. Excellent facilities in the clubhouse a well stocked pro shop and top quality practise facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was good as well! All the above was let down by the truly awful greens, at £82 a day all the above is inconsequential if the greens are like they are! This is the 3rd year I have played in a society here and the greens have been poor all three years, a sad reflection on the standard of green keeping and a poor value day soley because of this reason!

Having just hosted a company golf day here I have to say this is a superb venue for anyone looking for a traditional club fairly close to London and with easy access to the M25. Granted it is not cheap but you get what you pay for and the staff were exceptional, each one taking pride in their job and their club. Dress rules are pretty strict, understandably, but administered in a polite fashion. The course itself is playable without being a pushover but can be quite a walk for the unfit,it has variation and trickery but also allows payers to open their shoulders every now and again. If you are staying close to London and looking for a classy track give them a call

Beautiful setting, clubhouse, and course. Challenging layout, well-conditioned, fast greens (quite unlike other courses we played in Greater London), friendly staff; a very enjoyable day of golf. For 2 Americans on holiday in the London, this was the highlight of our trip. The course is somewhat hilly, so it was a bit tiring for us (we are accustomed to carts here), and it was a bit of a struggle to reach the course from London (about a one-hour ride on the tube, then a struggle to find a cab), but worth every effort! If you get the opportunity, play this course!
