Excellent facilities. Great driving range with electric tees. Excellent pro shop very large and well stocked and friendly welcoming staff. The course is short in length however it has great character with some very tricky doglegs. The three par 3's on the course are excellent the 2nd hole played uphill to a 3 tier green the 5th guarded all the way to the green by a large water hazard and the 7th a hole with stunning views played straight downhill to a green guarded to the left and right with bunkers. The signature hole has to be the 3rd an excellent par 5. The tee shot is played to a narrow fairway with out of bounds to the right and a steep hill to the left. The second shot is then played over a ravine to the left of the fairway with a hazard to the left over the ravine along the fairway up to the green. A mackenzie green is tricky to read. The club also has an excellent 19th hole serving great food. The club has the best value for money around Cheshire with an 18 hole green fee of just £14 at weekends which is hard to beat. An overall enjoyable experience the club has everything to cater for any golfers needs.

One of my favourite Cheshire clubs. Great course & driving range, staff are very friendly, great shop and brilliant bar! Well kept greens, tees and fairways, a credit to the staff. Good value for money! 1st hole - par 5 466 yds - Nice and long with a right dogleg. small water hazard to the right, which you cant see from the tee! Tree coverage to the left and right approaching the raised green. 2nd hole - par 3 165 yds - Nice short hole, got to hit it right to get it over the hill to the green. The green is undulating and is a challenge. 3rd hole - par 5 488 yds - Definately a hole to watch out for! The fairway appears wide but there is a drop to the left which will guarantee to lose your ball for you. A good drive is essential. 4th hole - par 4 246 yds - Dogleg left, if your a good driver you can cut the corner and land on the green. Bunkers located either side requires a good shot. 5th hole - par 3 125 yds - Over the water to the green. Be brave and play over the water or play safe and hit right, either way a very interesting hole. 6th hole - par 4 247 yds - Beautiful long hole. Green protected by bunkers and any careful not to hit long passed the green. 7th hole - par 3 172 yds - The signature hole. Drop from the tee onto the green, good views. Green well protected with bunkers either side and water hazards to the left. This hole makes you want to play more than one ball. 8th hole - par 4 340 yds - Long left dogleg with mature trees to left and right. Green well protected with bunkers. Very nice hole 9th hole - par 4 353 yds - Long straight drive from the tee and a sharp dog leg right around the back of the driving range. Water hazards protect the fairway while bunkers protect the green. This is the best green on the course.

Cold February day, and three of us play Hartford for the first time. Winter golf, yet the course was in excellent condition, new paths obviously being a recent addition. Only nine holes, but such is the variety that they are a joy to play twice. First hole is a sweeping gem rising to a small tricky green. Third hole is very tricky as you can easily be pulled left - par 5 but play 'stepping stone' golf! We loved the short, but most pleasant 4/5/6 loop. The par 3 is lovely, placed at the end of large pond. The seventh - got to be one of the most beautiful holes we've played, swooping down off a high tee to a long green 190 yds away - and I par'd it both times! We particularly enjoyed the ninth - stay out left to open dogleg, and watch out for two 'hidden' ponds. Don't let the length fool you. Straight hitting and an accurate short game is needed. Very pleasant, friendly clubhouse for lunch afterwards. A very enjoyable day, and we'll certainly be back.

I play hartford regularly as it is better than my local club which allows no room for rain. As it his upon hills the drainage is fabtastic and the course is playable in almost any conditions. The 1st hole sets the standards with a narrowing fairway which is extremely difficult to keep to as there is minor tree coverage on the dogleg. The 3rd hole, as mentioned is a complete stinker with a narrowing fairway and huge drop down hill on left. the 7th is quiet simly 1 of the best holes i have ever seen!!! MAKE IT 18HOLES TIM

Very good new 9 hole parklands course. Not too long but tight enough to make things difficult. Water comes into play on several holes. The par 5 3rd hole and the par 3 7th hole are both particularly challenging. The clubhouse is almost complete and should be ready by the end of the 2004.

Situated in mature parkland, this 9-hole course is well kept, challenging and varied. With just enough water around to tease and draw your ball you will find it hard not to drop a shot if you leave the comfort of the fairway or green. This course is NOT a test of how far you can hit the ball, but a good test of thinking your way around the course. The 3rd hole is a prime example, as it a par 5 you’ll want to take your driver but the fairway gets very narrow it requires a very accurate shot. Same with the 4th, placement on the fairway is ideal. The best hole on the course is the very beautiful 7th, shortish Par 3 over a little water and trees either side down to the target. When the clubhouse gets finished I think it will get very popular, just a shame it’s only 9 holes.
