Played today for just £10 (rate after pm). The course is short even off the medal tees (5700 yds) and driver is only needed at 3rd & 11th. Otherwise it is a course for plotting your way round the hazards which are often water. There are some weak holes on the much shorter back 9 but the par 5 11th is a magnificent hole with lots of water and the 17th a testing par 3 even though the water shouldn't really be a factor. There is a surprising OOB on the left of the 203 yd par 3 13th nicely placed for a hook. The first 3 holes are probably the best on the front nine but most keep you thinking. Lack of length means some clubs are not needed but the best use of the available space and terrain has been made.
Arrived on a good summers day and was impressed by a lovely looking flat course. As I played I became increasingly aware of the strategically placed water features and this proved the test - hitting straight and placing the ball in measured distances. The greens were in great condition but the good weather meant they were slick. The first hole highlighted above and I enjoyed the long 2nd and the 9th. I failed miserably to cope with the challenge of the outstanding 11th but look forward to tackling it again. In the conditions i could have scored better and am aware it could get a bit heavy in the winter but left impressed - clubhouse was smart and the people very helpful - and keen to do better next time.
Thoroughly enjoyed my round the other day. Despite very heavy rain overnight the course was brilliantly presented - one or two spots of water but nothing more. A challenging little course - the front nine is certainly better than the back, far more testing of the tee. The back nine is pretty straight and wide open apart from the stunning 10th - two carries over water and a massive bunker to boot. A real test of nerve! Brilliantly stocked pre-shop and a very helpful pro too! I'll be back to play again very soon and will probably be back to spend money in the shop even sooner. Well worth a visit.
played hassocks on friday the 25th may hospitality very friendly, all staff very helpful and hamish the manager was brillian, on the course fairways and greens were in excellent condition. will visit the course again VERY soon.water hazards are in briliant position and the 11th very nice and attactive hole, overall a tidy and very friendly course.

An extremely enjoyable course to play. The water on the first hole certainly tests the nerve and ensures that you are awake from the start. The 9th still gives my regular playing partner nighmares - he is thinking of bringing a snorkel the next time we play! (I dare you to try to carry the second water hazard). The 11th is a delight to challenge even the most capable golfer. An errant drive here will destroy your round. The wildlife on the course brings a welcome distraction when things aren't going too well, with geese and swans amongst a number of birds (including a chicken by the clubhouse) soaking up the laid-back atmosphere.
Excellent value for money
Thanks to Jacki's hard work even in scorcing weather the course was in superb condition and a great time was had by all. The food was tasty -especially the good quality sausages- and I put in my first sub-hundred in 5 months, lovely
