Heworth Golf Club (Durham)

myself and a friend played at Heworth on Friday 6th May and i can speak for both of us that its a great little track that we would definately play again without hesitation. had a nice friendly welcome from the pro before looking around a very well stocked shop then made our way across to the first tee. its a fairly straight forward start but the one thing that will stay long in the memory was just how immensly good the greens were. i can safely say they were probably some of the best greens ive putted on in the area. top notch. the course isnt the biggest challenge to be fair but the holes are all quite different. some driveable par 4s require you to strike your driver well but if you play well its definately a course you can shoot low on. overall 7.5 out of 10

Played at Heworth this month and as usual received a very warm welcome both in the pro shop and in the clubhouse. Course is maturing and the greens were excellent. Might even go as far as to say close to the best greens in the area. Easy course to walk as flat with some interesting holes particularly early on in the round to challenge you into making a good score.
