Played the course in April and was impressed. I am not usually a fan of 9 hole courses but the different tees for each 9 made it interesting. The holes are quite unique and the fairways are moorland grass which gives it the spring and it allows the course to drain well. My only gripe would be that once you have played it a good player can score very well. My first 9 was 9 over and back 9 1 over when I knew how to play it.
Played the course on a lovely late spring evening. Although short, the course is a true test, with accuracy being at a premium. The countryside is lovely and the course just has a wonderful feeling about it. The tee box variations mean that the 2 nines have very different angles of approach. My playing partner enjoyed it so much he is now a member. Very good value for money at £12 and a very well stocked and reasonably priced pro shop.
Didn't play the course but walked it when I was in the area. Appeared a quirky but great looking. Saw a couple of beginners and they were struggling badly. Guess it's a place to avoid unless you can hit the ball straight.
Short, tight course in spectacular scenery. Don't be put off by the easy 1st/10th - it gets better, especially the stunning 4th/13th (193 par 3 downhill through the trees). Although only 2x9 holes, the tee boxes are moved sufficiently to give the holes completely different characters east time round. Basic clubhouse, but the food in the pub next door is usually awful - try one nearby if possible. In great nick considering the weather down there.
