Played here September ,2014 . Good value for money course. Not long but good fun.The course doesn't cover a large area but within this the holes are well designed. It also has some nice water features . It was well presented & the greens were fantastic ,the best i've seen this year .A pleasure to putt on ,lovely surfaces ,a really nice speed & considering it's a pay & play virtually no pitchmarks . Easy access from the A3 (going south) & you're in the car park in under a minute . My second time here & i would play here again. Kevin B.

Played on 14th October for £11. Fairways firm which combined with yellow tees made a short flat & open course play even shorter. 3 decent opening holes sre followed by 8 generally dull ones before improving thereafter. I agree that the water is more of an ornamnent than a hazard. Greens were rather bumpy due to recent work. Bunkers had plenty of sand and are well positioned. The colour of the flags makes them hard to see. There is no map on the scorecard but you can view the layout of every hole on the club website A pleasant stroll on a lovely day and very close to the A3 but not a memorable visit

We played a society day today and the welcome was fantastic, food very good and staff chatty and friendly. The weather has been very warm (for this time of year) but the greens played really well and were being watered throughout the day. The only downside was the fairways were very hard, but this was just a small distraction from a good course. Plenty of challenge for the average golfer, lots of bunkers and water to catch out wayward shots. Very well protected greens, beware!

I've played this course a number of times over the past few years. Having played here this week, I have to say that the course is in the best condition I have ever seen it. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in great condition. It's not a very long course, but there are some challenging holes. The 2nd shot over a lake at the 18th is a daunting end to an enjoyable round.

Played here midweek February 06 ( £10 ). Perfectly reasonable Pay & Play that's good value but that doesn't really linger in the memory .It's fairly open & you can see most of the course from some points . Quite an understated design by Peter Alliss's usual standards & not his most exciting work .I would hazard a guess & say either he had a limited budget or that as it's a pay & play he was under orders to keep it fairly straight forward for the speeed of play . (for example ,there are several water hazards here but very few come into play ). Good greens ( & quick ) & we went round in about 2hrs 45 mins .We played on a cold grey day but on a nice day for the money it wouldn't be a bad place to play. Kevin B.

Outstanding value for money! A tough course for those who are in the early days of their game but very well presented and the staff are very friendly. Will certainly be visiting again but wish they would include a course layout on the scorecard rather than charging £3 for one. Overall, very good.

Played this course in July and thought it was a wonderful looking course, that given some years to mature, will look simply stunning. The price is very competitive, especially for the area and in general the course is very nice to play on. For someone short of time like myself, being able to fit 18 holes in in just over 3 hours is a treat too. The only downsides to the course were the bunkers, which tended to have less than a few millimeters of sand in them, and the hardness of the fairways. Often I found it was easier to play out of the light rough than on the fairways themselves. All in all though it's a very nice course to play especially after, on the 18th, hitting a lovely straight drive, then an 8 iron from 150 yards to within 12 ft of the pin and then holing the putt for birdy. Can't wait to play the course again and rip in to the course.

A friendly welcome in the pro-shop made a good early impression, as did the view from the clubhouse. This is a very nice course, only we found it just too short, certainly off the yellows (our round took just over 3 hours). Despite that there's still plenty to test the visitor, and the greenfee is very reasonable.

It's an okay sort of course, although there are plenty better around. At just under 5,300 from the yellows it's also not very long, which will suit some and annoy others. £17 for a w-e round isn't too bad, although you sometimes get what you pay for and in this case the greens could certainly do with a lot of improvements. If they get the greens sorted, then this could be a very good course in years to come.

I've played this course 3 times between june and september and found that the course was well maintained with very good greens. There are plenty of short par 4's yielding some birdie chances. It's a fairly open course that is well bunkered and has water on a fiew holes including the 18th which is a great finishing hole.Good value pay and play golf.Worth a visit!

This course is good vaule and with a wind blowing plays a bit longer than it would appear .Its a course you can take to lightly hence I was 5 over after 9 and 26!! over after 18 have got far to confident . Certainly worth giving a try for the average golfer .6/10

7/5/01 Nice course, well drained even after all of the recent rain. Open course with enticing fairways, suit those who like playing woods/long irons. Watch out for the 18th. One negative point, greens could be improved.

I played the course this week and had a very enjoyable day. The course is short and is ideal for golfers with high handicaps like me as you can reach most holes in regulation with a couple of good shots. Greens were in fairly good condition, but the fairways were a bit muddy (after heavy rain). A few hazards on the way but none in particularly difficult positions. All in all a good pay and play course.

I have now played this course three times. It is not a very long course and neither is it very difficult but it is a very nice course to play. Although close to the A3 there is very little traffic noise due to some very large trees. The cousre has, on the three occasions I have plyed, been very well kept. It is a very good cousre if you are not a low handicapper as you will be able to go round with a respectable score. A very enjoyable day out.

This is a very playable course, with just a few lakes to make it interesting. It is short enough to make it fairly easy to play to your handicap, you will enjoy the way you are welcomed.Pay & play are treated well, after we are all golfers.Give this course a try you will return
