This is a fair test of golf with a great mix of holes, The wind can play it's part given the clubs location. Ability to shape shots both ways is a real advantage. The set up really makes you think your way round as driver is not always the best option. The greens are receptive & in good condition with subtle breaks. An extra par 5 on the front nine might balance the layout, but this is just my opinion. Overall really enjoyed the course & scenery, walking enabled us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, playing just under my handicap, which was a bonus. Unusual to finish with a par 3 which makes a nice change. Clubhouse has good facilities, small but well stocked pro shop, snooker room, good changing facilities & the upstairs bar overlooks the course. Outside balcony area looks nice in summer for watching players tackle the 18th. Food is excellent value with friendly staff & members which is refreshing given Leeds Golf Clubs History, Home to the Leeds Cup which i believe is one of Golfs oldest competitions with some golfing legends as past winners, something the club should be very proud of. If i lived in the area i would apply to join asap.

Cobble Hall is a pleasent golf course with a few undulations. It has a par of 69, It is quite a challenge off the back tees, especially if the wind blows. It is quite a picturesque course, with the seventh hole the most serene, It is a par 4 with an elevated tee and hitting your approach to a two tiered green, 1 bunker left and 1 right with bushes on the top right and a big slope to the top left and back of the green.Other feature holes are QUARRY a par 5 with a blind approach and TRIBULATION a par 3 with an elevated green. In a nutshell COBBLE HALL is well worth a visit and is a fare test of golf for everyone.
