Played Market Rasen the other day and had a great time, was greated by the new Pro who was friendly and welcoming. The course was in great condition and was a test of straight shots,it was a pleasure to play and very enjoyable. The group I joined were happy to see guests and we enjoyed good food and a beer in the club house after.I will certainly be back, try it you will not be disappointed.

I played here on June 10th 2012. What a gem of a course. Beautifully maintained, well laid out and for a 6000 yard course, amongst the most challenging you will ever play. If this course wasn't in Rural Lincolnshire it would be really well known. It is every bit as good as the Duke's at Woburn, and in many respects similar looking from many of the fairways - big, majestic pine trees surround. Some of the holes are truly memorable. The 1st is the most challenging opening hole I've ever played. The 7th one of the best short par-4's. The 10th a long, dog-leg par 4 with water that you have to cross twice and the 13th wouldn't look out of place at Augusta. If you find yourself in this quiet part of England do yourself a favour and make time to play this course. You'll be glad you did (unless you spray it around!)

Played here on the 24th Feb 2011. I always wanted to play here and finally got my chance as I was in the area this week. This golf club exceeded all my expectations! From the staff to the members this is a big thanks for a great day. The course is excellent, well laid out and challenging all the way round. It tests you straight from the 1st as the drive off 1 can be daunting! I was asked by two members to join up, I didn't know who they were beforehand but they were so welcoming. We even shared a coffee on the 9th, great guys! I loved the course some really stunning holes. Not a bad word to say about the place, just a joy to have been there. Highly reccomended, will be returing again!

played here yesterday in there open,1/8/2010, my 1st time at the course, and this place is a beauty, i would class it as a heathland,if you dont hit the ball straight ish forget about it as you will be in alot of trouble, not overly long in parts like 2nd 3rd 4th, but you do need to be straight, 1 hole can wreck your card as i found out, some really pretty holes like 1st, 7th ,10th great hole 13th,14,15, make your score on the short par 4s as you will need a few in the bank for later on, all the par 3 are pretty tough, i couldnt fault the place,if i lived closer would be joining, its somewer along the lines of a moortown/formby hall type of course, members very friendly ,greens were good aswell ,defo play if in area im certainly going back

I would consider myself as a 'high handicapper', and as such the thought of narrow, pine tree lined fairways would normally daunt me. However the driver came out and did me proud and made for a very enjoyable round. The greens were in superb condition as were the undulations of the fairways. A very well established and beautiful golf course, which was almost silent as we strolled around. A fantastic course with a large clubhouse and excellent facilities & hospitality, a value-for-money for course and I would recommend it to any ability of golfer.

Market Rasen is an interesting parkland course of close to championship standard. The greens and fairways are maintained at a high standard. The terrain is rolling rather than undulating, with most holes flanked by pine trees. The course is not too long (6045 yds) but the fairways are cut quite narrow. The clubhouse is fairly modern and provides excellent viewing of the difficult Par 3 18th.
