1 review of Mitchelstown Golf Club
We played this course on our way back to Cork. Mitchelstown is split into the old and the news holes. Some of the old holes were changed recently so we had some trouble finding our way. Especially on the first were the old fairway was still there. I hit an OK shot only onto the short stuff to find that it did not lead to a green. The new holes are laid out against a hill and you have to walk about 600 yards and cross a road to get there. The new holes are still more foregiving than the old holes, mainly because of a lack of trees. After the 12th you return to the old holes. Nicest hole to play was the par 3 14th, were a stream cuts into the hole diagonally. The clubhouse for some reason is divided into two seperate rooms. All in all the club has its own carachter annd you will surely enjoy your round.
