20 quid for bucket of balls, round of golf and low calorie fry afterwards! good value.thought the first green was a disgrace and they gradually got a bit better.I think the 14th blind par 3 is a silly hole and too long for a par 3.if you take out a big club and go over the back you are penalised too.post in the middle of the fairway is not in line with the hole.not a tough course.run offs on some greens are punitive. this is the fourth time i have played here.a few changes but overall it has not improved in the last five years.
'Knockbraken' - I would recommend this course to any visitor to Belfast - purely for its spectacular views of the city. The course is very hilly - but not especially challenging or severe. A fun days golf...
A pleasant enough 18 hole course, though it's not one of the prettier ones. There's a few hills in places, not much water or trees, greens are well kept and the sand hazzards are fairly easy to avoid. The green fees are good value for Belfast and the restaurant serves excellent food at good value.
A very nice course when u get the weather. Fairly featureless and nothing too punishing, but a very well-kept course and i would recommend all to play it. 8 out of 10
