2 reviews of Olton Golf Club Ltd
Terrific course, which begins with two tough par 4's. You need to hit the ground running here, that's for certain. Olton only has one par 5 (the 18th) but the Par 69 is deceptive. There are very few places tio score well, maybe on a couple of the shorter par 4's on the back 9 (12 and 17) or hope to hit one stiff at the short par 3 13th. The greens are as slick as anywhere and tough bunkering makes life difficult too. It is a tradional club, but all seemed friendly and relaxed there. There was a nice selection of beers in the clubhouse.
Nicely laid out course that was in excellent condition when we played in late March 2006. First couple of holes are long & a tough start to the course. Excellent practice facilities on site. Fantastic halfway house serving hot sandwiches next to the 10th tee!
