Ormskirk Golf Club

We played ormskirk on Thursday 15th October 2015 as a society of 23. They accommodated us at short notice after another course let us down monumentally. I'm so glad the other course let us down now because ormskirk was amazing. From start to finish the club was perfect. The welcome we received was such a friendly one from every person at the club. We started off with a lovely bacon roll and coffee then played 18 holes of golf on a course that was in brilliant condition for October. Perfect tees, perfect fairways and perfect greens on a course with a layout that keeps your attention on each hole. We finished the day off with a two course meal of steak pie and chips and afters of apple crumble with ice cream that was once again perfectly cooked and very tasty. If anyone is looking for a friendly place to play try here. We will be back no question.

The course was fantastic, the members and staff were extrememly polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that spoilt the day was the caterer- she forgot we were coming even though we had booked in for breakfast and confirmed a couple of weeks before. Needless to say we weren't impressed with her

A superb golf course, I couldn't find any weeds either!!! Pro and all other contacts excellent. Cheap beer and food no praise good enough At £30 a true bargin considering the other courses nearby.Even in the torrential rain which we endured had little effect on the condition.

This course,if you can find it,is just in superb condition. It was a case of "try and spot the weed". The welcolme was good too.A mature lay out with its own version of Troon's postage stamp hole the 12th. This layout is 6142 from the yellow tees,so if you play to your handicap you will have played well.A 1st class venue in anybodys book!.
