A real case of a curse of 2 halves: first 9 holes are very good and interesting. The second 9 is boring and very up and down- very disappointing. If the whole 18 had been as good as the first 9 wwe would have come back.As it is, we won't. Good condition overall, members friendly.

We made a last minute decision to play this course on Saturday 23rd July at 5pm, playing in a two ball. I wasn't expecting a great deal as it is a new course but I was pleasantly surprised. The welcome from the Pro in the club shop was first class, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and even gave us some tips on the right line off the first tee. The course itself is not overly long or difficult (all the par 5's are under 500 yards from the yellows) but the greens are fiendish to say the least. The pin positions didn't seem that difficult from the fairway and even if you managed to stick it close, there was no guarantee that you wouldn't two or three putt. Indeed, both of us left a lot of shots out there due to the quick greens but that just adds to the experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend this club and if I lived a little closer it would be a course I would seriously consider joining.

Played here in early September, the work on rebuilding the clubhouse after the fire earlier in the year seems to be progressing well, with projected completion before the year end, check out the club web site for more information. It is about 18 months since my last visit, and there are considerable improvements to the course in evidence, signage from green to the next tee is now excellent. The greens must be some of the most difficult in the county, a three foot downhill put often sneaked past the hole and gently accelerated to four feet below the hole. Several of our group complained of three and occasionally four putting the most sever greens. I would imagine new members take quite a while to adjust their putting technique if they come from any of the local clubs around. A few tee boxes looked tired and rather bereft of grass, but I would imagine they will improve when the new reservoir being constructed alongside the 18th fairway is in use. A number of the ponds around the course were surprising low or indeed empty considering the amount of rain this year. We played using the county card scheme, which gives holders guest rate price of £20.00 which is perhaps a little high, but play here and form your own opinion. Overall, I enjoyed the course and will play again next year.My low rating for the facilities only reflect the current situation, I'm sure the re-built clubhouse will complement the rest of the layout when completed.

As a junior, I find it hard to be welcomed onto any course. The staff at Pavenham welcomed me brilliantly, I then was astounded with the course, favourite holes being the 3rd par-3, a brilliant hole, with an elevated tee and the 17th, a par-4 dogleg. The course really catered to my needs.

At just £12.50 a round Pavenham is definitely good value although I wasn't hugely impressed with the actual course. The front 9 seems to be reasonably varied but the back 9 contains too many short par 4s, although the tree lined 15th does make for an interesting tee-shot, requiring drive and wedge. Particularly, liked the tough par 3 2nd, and the 180 yard 5th into the wind and over water is also quite a challenge. Less of a challenge were the 5 sub-500 yard par 5s, all bar the 18th were relatively easy to reach in two. Disappointingly, the greens were painfully slow. Unfortunately, the club had run out of yardage books leading to a hugely mis-placed drive on the 9th, a walk down the fairway on the 17th to locate the green and some bemused moments trying to find the next tee on a couple of other holes. Aside from that the club felt very welcoming. Overall, would play again due to pleasant surroundings and excellent value.

Played at Pavenham Feb 03. Course & greens were in excellent condition despite recent bad weather. Most of the greens had a slope of some sort making some interesting putting ! Course could do with a few more "next tee" markers. Nice clubhouse , friendly staff. From our party of three - a thumbs up and we shall be visiting again.

A great course which mirrors the welcome you get at this club . The "watery grave" par 3 6th is a gem. The greens are fast and undulating which were chalenging but enjoyable. If you get the chance to play here you wont regret it, just wish other golf courses would adopt this philosophy which is taken from there website "Pavenham Park is a family run course with a fresh, forward-looking approach. An open and friendly atmosphere exists at the club; a refreshing contrast to the stereotypes often given to golf by older traditional clubs.

The course was in fantastic condition even in the middle of December. Despite being a relatively young course, Pavenham has an abundance of trees and water hazards. The par 3 6th hole will really test your nerve. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I hope to return in the near future

Pavenham - is still a relative young course, but when I played the course condition was very good. The main feature of the course is the greens . They are very undulating ,one or two of the greens are a little to undulating - see the 08 hole !!! There are two excellent par 03 on the front nine the 03rd and 06th.The course is a little open therefore you can open your shoulders a little bit . In conclusion a reasonable course.

A really grea tcourse with seriously contoured greens. Tends to get a bit dry in hot summers but well recomended. The first three holes are a real challenge to your game, beware the tee shot on the 3rd if the wind is in your face. I play there as many times as I can.

Inspired by a fantastic meal in the clubhouse and a great welcome I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon at Pavenham. By far one of the most challenging and best kept courses in the area. Thank you Richard and all at Pavenham. Jason

This challenging course just keeps getting better and better. The service was excellent as always and the course was in superb condition. The greens are by far the best in the area. Cat wait to get back!!!!!
