6 reviews of Poulton Park Golf Club Ltd

This course has a new green keeper and is influence is definitely showing the fairways and greens have improved dramatically and is well worth a trip to play. The short game practice facilities are second to none and the new professional is opening an indoor practice bay on the short game area. The Clubhouse has had a make over and there is now a bar menu and new stewards. All in all the experience is good all round.

This course if very picturesque and has undergone a lot of improvement over the past twelve months. It is a challenging course which requires acurate tee shots to avoid the many hazards of trees, brooks and ponds. Very enjoyable to play

The staff are friendly and helpful and the fairways and greens are well kept. The big let down is that the water hazards are a state as are the paths between the holes. Nettles, thistles and other prickly things are left unchecked so even if you believe that you could play out of the water (they are mainly small brooks), doing so is dangerous to your health. Generally a good course though 6/10

My son and I played at Poulton Park today. At first glance at the course I was apprehensive at playing a nine hole course. Whilst I am no "Tiger Woods" or even Mrs. Tiger Woods I found it to be very challenging. The course demands a straight hitting game from the word go, if you can not keep it on the fairways you will struggle. I thoroughly enjoyed the round (even though I did not score well) and would whole heartedly recommend any one to try their hand at this demand course. The drainage at Poulton is excellent and there was no surface water to speak of considering the rain we are experiencing and the greens where first class. As I said I would totally recommend you try it and experience this exquisite course.

This nine hole course, when looking at the card is not impressive. Even looking at the set up when you arrive, it is not particularly impressive, but the set up of the course maximises the available land, and provides a strong test for any standard of golf. The course has 17 tees, only the first has the same tee twice, and some tees make the diference between par 4's and 5's. Best holes are the 3rd, 7th, 13th, 15th and 17th. Look out for the water, trees and OOB, keep it straight and hit the greens, and you may score well!

Nice, friendly club, with good facilities.\r\nMy father in law is a member and I hope to become one when the finances are right.\r\n\r\nNot for the waywood tee shot, this course is like threading a needle which makes up for it being fairly short.\r\nWell maintained........
