1 review of Pytchley Golf Lodge

Can't believe there is not a review of this course so I thought I would be the first. Played this course three times in July and it is well worth a visit. We were looking for a quick nine hole course and this fits the bill at a reasonable price. The first is an uphill par 4 which looks worse than it actually is from the tee (just don't go right or you'll be blind into the tee). There is a lovely par 3 over some trees, a reachable par 4 in one and on a sunny day you get a great view of the surrounding area. This is a course for the mid to high handicappers as there are no ultra hard holes and the fairways, bunkers and greens are kept in great condition which means that better golfers will get rewarded for great shots. Also the rough is not that long so it will help all levels to score well. However there is a good spread of bunkers as I found out on every approach to the eighth which cost me a shot every time. However in the three rounds I knocked a couple of shots off each time. Which makes me think you could master the course in no time (in good conditions). The clubhouse was friendly and they have an american golf on site. Also like to say a big thankyou to one of the members who gave me a few tees when we were eatlier with no tees and ag had not opened yet. Overall well worth a visit to a well kept and enjoyable course.
