Played on a winter deal including a meal. When we got to the course it had just opened as it was closed for a couple of hours because of fog.We had the course to ourselves so managed to play 18 holes in just over 3 hours. There is plenty of variety,no two holes are the same. There is enough undulation to make the course interesting, but not that physical to walk. There are a few ditches on this course which on some holes are lined with sleepers,This helps with the overall high standard of the course but do come into play. The food was a good standard and all staff we met were very enthusiastic about their club.We will return in the summer.

Having played a week's worth of seaside links, I scheduled one round for Parkland and played Radyr. The secretary was very friendly and I was invited to play with the capt of the scratch team. They were very accommodating. This course was excellent, woven through lots of big trees, funny little fences, plenty of boundaries - definitely feels like a lot of history in the design. Sort of reminds me of certain hilly private country clubs in southern california, but with much more history. Having played Radyr, it makes me want to try more UK Parkland courses - but somehow I keep scheduling those seaside links...perhaps one day will go on a UK Parkland course tour - very underrated as a golf destination!

Played there 2/5/04 and had a really nice round. England played Wales and came out on top. However, Wales stole the show when Dave Gray (the member) holed in one at the long, up hill, par 3 10th! The course is very mature with narrow fairways and not much room for error. The greens were true and all well worth £19. Well done Dave!

Interesting parkland course known for it's long par 4's and overall condition which is usually excellant. Greens almost always in excellant condition. Signature hole is the long par 4 5th although long par 4 9th also memorable.

Course in exceptional condition when played (June 2000) - Panoramic views of Cardiff and beyond, newly refurbished clubhouse and well stocked proshop add to over all experience as the course itself represents a good test of golf. Many good par 4's though too few par 5's make scoring difficult.
