Played in Burnley FC Texas charity comp. Would agree re holes with other reporter - only 9 holes, but a good, yet fair, challenge. Very good condition fairways and greens. Some uphill drags - thank goodness for my Go Kart! (but the views from the top of the course are fabulous, and the sweeping par 5 a joy to play from the top. very friendly clubhouse with wonderful 'old fashioned' cooking that's tasty and a bargain. Can't wait to play again.
A 9 hole course with different tees for the back and front 9. The clubhouse, with some pretty good practice area facilities, is on one side of the M65, the course on the other. It was a real pig of a place to find though! The course offers a very fair test of golf. The first is a lovely hole, a dog leg right with the second shot over water to an elevated green. A real good start. The last needs a good drive to a fairly narrow landing area, then a lofted second over a tree filled ditch with a stream at the bottom of it. In between that stick in the memory there is one long par 3, into the wind when we played which none of us reached on the day, and the 8th was a good dogleg right hole from memory too. A friendly welcome awaited us in the Clubhouse and all in all Rishton provided us with a very enjoyable day.
