I share Kevin's opinion. It's an average course, very open and hard to get into trouble. The greens, fairways and tees are very good. Reasonable value for £22 with county card.Worth playing once.
Played here December 07 (£15 using a county card). I thought this course was a bit uninspiring & forgetable.Although it's not a bad course & individually the tree lined holes are fairly reasonable, after a while the holes started to look & feel the same. Most holes are straight (I can remember only 1 dogleg) & the par 4's are either shortish ,or unreachable in 2. The front 9 was o.k but by the back 9 apathy had set in as it had all started to feel a bit up & down. .By about the 15th i was going through the motions. It was a bit muddy around the tees & the fairways were wormcasty in places. Also there were a few hedges you had to hit over & dotted around & i didn't like this feature. On the plus side, the greens were excellent, the course has many, well placed & designed bunkers which look attractive , the bunkers themselves, were very good,it's a good driving course & the pro shop was welcoming. Overall ,not a bad to play once, but i probably wouldn't want to play it again & the standard £30 green fee is too much for what it is. Kevin B.
