Romiley Golf Club Ltd

This is flagged on ukgolfguide.com as one of the best courses in Cheshire. If that is so, the members of Delamere Forest, Sandiway, Eaton, Stockport and half a dozen more I can think of should be laughing themselves silly. The course when I played it was good, certainly, but it is an ordinary, typical parkland similar to dozens of others. It wasn't in great condition, and many of the tees are packed close to the previous greens. We played after a couple of days of rain, and parts of the course were decidedly squelchy. I won't try it in winter. On the plus side, the greens were good, the proshop welcome was great, and the Clubhouse staff were also very helpful.
